TINY FRIENDLY

As the world recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, families are getting back to travel, looking for joy and connection. However, there's a noticeable gap in the market: the lack of travel apps designed for the unique needs of children. This case study aims to fill this gap by proposing features in a new Travel App that not only bring back family travel experiences but also specifically cater to the needs of kids.

Methodology

Five user interviews via Zoom will be conducted to collect qualitative data.

Online survey will be conducted to collect quantitative data.

Designing affinity diagrams & empathy maps to create the most accurate user persona and user insights.

Participants

The ideal participants are parents that enjoy frequent traveling. These women or men are familiar with travel apps and booking accommodations online.

The

Problem

Arrow_edited.png

Traveling parents frequently encounter challenges when seeking suitable accommodations that align with their specific needs and preferences. They face a time-consuming searching process, unpleasant surprises, and stressful situations. How can we help parents enjoy their family trips and feel confident and relaxed when planning their next family adventure?

This investigation was carried out to determine the pain points when planning family trips and the solution to them.

Insight

Arrow_edited.png

Through the interview process, it became evident that traveling parents spend a lot of time planning their family trips because they have specific preferences when looking for accommodations that meet all family needs, especially the needs of the little ones.

The location proves to be the first step in the accommodation-seeking process, with a strong inclination for sites situated close to kid-friendly entertainment, as in-site transportation is also challenging for families. Ensuring accuracy in property descriptions and images is crucial for meeting their expectations. Additionally, they usually have to deal with poor customer service and unpleasant surprises.

Therefore, we believe that it is important to have a service that caters to their accommodation preferences and offers solutions for an enjoyable family travel experience without a time-consuming searching process. In this regard, we might be able to create a family-focused accommodation platform capable of meeting these needs within a booking system that prioritizes family entertainment, comfort, and safety.

The Solution

A new app with exceptional customer service, planning assistance, and a verification system that guarantees accuracy in the listing descriptions.

  • Pay button not clear enough, hard to visualize it.

  • Book a suite was not intuitive enough.
